DO YOU HAVE Rheumatoid arthritis?

A research study with etanercept in patients with moderately active Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is being conducted in your area, and is currently seeking volunteers. This investigation is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of etanercept for moderate and severe rheumatoid arthritis despite DMARD therapy in approximately 200 patients with moderate rheumatoid arthritis across the United States and Canada. Etanercept is approved in certain countries as Enbrel®, for the treatment of moderate-to-severe RA.


To qualify for participation you must meet the following criteria:

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Male or female ≥18 and ≤80 years of age at time of screening
  • Be diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis for at least 6 months
  • Have moderate rheumatoid arthritis
  • Have active disease defined as at least 3 swollen joints and at least 3 tender or painful joints
  • Must be currently taking a DMARD (Disease Modifying Rheumatic Drug) such as methotrexate, sulfasalazine, leflunomide, minocycline, and/or hydroxychloroquine
  • Other criteria must also be met

Qualified participants will receive, at no cost:

  • Study related visits including blood tests
  •  A study medication, etanercept,  taken once a week for 24 weeks

Do you have Psoriasis?

T. Joseph Raoof MD Inc. / Encino Research Center is currently seeking volunteers to participate in a clinical trial for adults with psoriasis.  The study will evaluate the efficacy of Enbrel® in patients with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis who have lost a satisfactory response to Humira®.


We need participants:

• 18 years of age and older
• With moderate to severe  plaque-type psoriasis
• Who have lost their satisfactory response to Humira®
• Who have not previously taken Enbrel® (etanercept)
• Who can attend approximately 9 clinic visits over 6 months
• Are willing and able to complete subject questionnaires


Qualified participants may receive:

• Study-related evaluations and labs
• Study medication
• Compensation for participation for time and travel
